Apply Kirchhoff's Voltage Law (KVL) to every mesh. Assign clockwise current direction to all mesh currents (any direction works if used consistently).

For a resistor common to two meshes, voltage drop is: V = R ( I1 - I2 ) . I = current

Number of mesh equations = Number of meshes.
